Whenever we spend a significant amount of money on a product or service, we want to make the best choice available. For instance, when I was in the market for broadband, I wanted to know who the internet service providers in my area were and want they had to offer in terms of price, reliability and service. I found out that, in essence, broadband is broadband. I wanted the right speed at the right price, and I wanted the connection to be reliable. I found out that my choices included cable, DSL and satellite internet. I immediately eliminated satellite as an option because it tends to be a bit pricier and more fickle with the weather. For those folks who don’t have other options, satellite is fabulous. But I decided to go with some other choices.

I heard about att u-verse, which is a newer DSL service that isn’t delivered on two-copper wiring like standard DSL. Instead, part of its network is the new fiber optics technology that everyone is talking about. The speeds available are outrageous, and you can also sign up for television service that is top of the line. U-verse’s technology is integrated, intelligent technology that works together. For instance, when the telephone rings, my caller i.d. is displayed on my television. I can call back later by using my remote control. How cool is that?
